NOTD: Easter 2013

Hope everyone has a Hoppy Easter!

I recently picked up this gorgeous nail polish from FLOWER BEAUTY cosmetics.  It is a pale lavender with micro blue shimmers in it. So Here is a look at my Easter Manicure....Polka Dots and a Bunny accent nail.

 I used Revlon's Colorstay base/top coats

I decided to try out a version of something I saw on pinterest. Here's how it turned out!

I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I can not really give you a "tutorial" of how I did it because I just looked at a picture for inspiration and kinda "just winged it".  I used Sinful Colors Brand polish for both the black and the white.  A large and small dotting tool to draw all the art.  The glitter finger is a few coats of Revlon's Sequins Polish.  For my base and top coat I used the Revlon Colorstay.

This is what my hair looks like when I let it air dry with only the Beach Babe Texturizing Sea Salt Spray in it!  As you can see it gives me the perfect undone waves.  My favorite things about this product are:

1. packaging
2. smell
3. works on all types of hair

I work as a hairstylist and I always pack this in my kit when I do any prom/wedding hair.  I especially love to use this product after I curl my client's hair.

I am excited about this product, a full size NYX roll on shimmer. I wish I got a more wearable color though...blue just is not something I reach for often.  The roller ball glides the product on smoothly and it truly shimmers.

These little guys are messy(no sifter) but that's what you get lots with pigments/ loose products.  It is hard to say how much the sample sizes are since one container is filled and the other is almost empty.  Both colors look similar in the jar and contain shimmer. Terra Cotta is more warm/brown toned , while Suzie's Glow is more peach/pink. The powders are smooth and glide on easily.

This color is gorgeous.  The glitters in it are so fine that any way you turn your hand they hit the light and shine.  At one angle it appears purple and at another gold glitter. When I first saw this color just in the bottle I wasn't sure it was my style but I do love the way it looks.  It has great staying power  and has not chipped since I applied it 3 days ago.  (This is a record for me since I do hair/nails for a living.)
